Our coverage

The Oakland Grandstand is a free, advertising-supported guide to events and places in Oakland County, Michigan. We curate useful local discoveries; our listings are not exhaustive. Publication and featured placement are at our editorial discretion.

Editorial standards and accuracy

We prioritize information from organizers, venues, businesses and public institutions, and use reliable secondary sources when appropriate. We write original descriptions and do not present third-party reviews or ratings as our own judgment. Dates, hours, prices, availability and accessibility details can change. Confirm details with the organizer or venue before traveling or purchasing tickets.

Event dates and changes

The same event at the same location on consecutive days is listed once with a date range. Weekly and other nonconsecutive occurrences remain separate listings. Distinct sessions and showtimes are preserved. Check the event details for the schedule. Expired events leave active discovery and may be archived; confirmed cancellations are marked or removed.

Advertising and sponsored placement

Paid placements are identified as advertising or sponsored promotion. Sponsorship is not an independent review or ranking. Payment does not silently determine ordinary search relevance or editorial selection, and advertisers cannot purchase changes to factual information.

Images and featured events

Featured events must have their own relevant, good-quality image approved for use. Missing or broken images, generic placeholders and the Grandstand logo do not qualify an event for featured placement. Ordinary listings may use neutral Grandstand artwork when suitable event imagery is unavailable. Images must be used with appropriate permission or rights; being publicly visible online does not make an image free to reuse.

Submissions and corrections

Send submissions or corrections to oaklandgrandstand@gmail.com. Include the listing link, the proposed details and an official source when available. We review material changes before updating a listing and may accept, partially accept or decline a submission. Submitting information does not guarantee publication or featured placement, and organizations do not directly control our editorial records.

Newsletter and account help

Newsletter archive access requires email signup, a verified member account and subscriber approval. Our signup form collects your email address and newsletter subscription choice; Wix handles member registration.
